At Central, people are encouraged to serve the Lord in whatever area they feel He is leading them and the music ministry is no different. We offer a wide variety of choirs, ensembles, drama, and bell groups from which to choose. Special dramas and musical presentations are presented throughout the year, concluding with our annual Christmas pageant. Special music and drama services are also featured throughout the year as well by Christian artists from all over the country. If your interest is in choir, ensemble, or solo singing, many opportunities await you. Our church orchestra is always open and awaiting new instrumentalists. The mission of the music ministry is simple, “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.” Come join us!

Worship
Worship at Central Baptist Church is the common ground where all different types of people, regardless of race, age, or economic status, come together to experience and encounter God. One of the most important aspects of Christianity is one of unity. Colossians 3:15-17 is our model, as is Jesus’ admonition to worship in spirit and truth. The worship ministry prompts all those in attendance to direct their praise to God, the audience of all that we do.
Augustine said, “If you find yourself humming the tune rather than reciting the words, you have heard the wrong thing.” The music ministry offers songs to the Lord in a variety of styles, from spiritual to praise and worship, from gospel to Brooklyn Tabernacle. Our prayer is that all people will be led into a deeper relationship with Christ, committing their lives to Him with all of their heart.
