About Us

Matt Gurney

I love many things but only a few things are my passions. I am passionate about Jesus. I am passionate about my family. I am passionate about God's church. I love to help students know and understand the Gospel and to grow in their faith in Christ. I love college basketball and played tennis in college. I grew up in South Florida and slowly have moved farther and farther north. This will be my 12th year as a youth pastor. I graduated from Union University in Jackson, TN and went to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. I am married to my amazing wife Jen and am called dad by Noah, Tucker toddler girl Taylor and baby girl Nora. Jesus is all my joy and my family is His grace to me every day. It is because of His joy and His grace that I serve.
